It is was i was looking for.A cheap optical cable that wil deliver great sound.It feels and seem as a quality product and it realy delivers quality sound.
This cable works fine for me, with three different machines of varying ages. If the cable is not secure, then you may need to push it in a little farther (GENTLY) until the cable is in all the way. Make sure you remove the rubber tip protecting the connector before plugging in. Also, there is a little nubbin on the side that will keep the cable in place. Also, note that the digital inputs are not oriented all the same way. You may need to rotate the plug 90 degrees for it to fit.Great price and quick shipping.
Once I realized there was a cap on the end of the cable everything worked great. Everything seems to be working perfectly. The cable is great. I didn't come with any instructions or pictures and I didn't look at the expensive cable that closely before I tried to hook up and I began to think it wasn't going to fit. I was a little discourage to spend more $$ to buy yet another cable to hook up all the things that came with the new flat screen TV. But I refused to pay the $50 for the one I found in the store was willing to gamble on the $3 with shipping on this one. The cable we received did not have a cap with a holder on it like the one in the picture does now. But I am thrilled that it is working.
Oddly they would not lock into my Yamaha sound bar. I purchased two of these. The cable worked fine and plugged into my 360 and Dish network boxes perfectly. They functioned just fine as long as I didn't pull on the cables. The Yamaha cable plugged into everything fine.
Changing the optical cables produced sound. Under the assumption all cables are created equal I bought four of these. Trying the cable on another item proved twice that the cable was indeed broken. At the price it could not be beat. After a move I noticed the PS3 was no longer getting sound. Like clock work every month after each wire failed. I wanted so much for it to work too.
